“We’d like to wish the boys the best of luck in their final.”
Brooksbank pupil Riley Dean, aged 14, has recently been signed for a scholarship at Warrington Wolves and will be competing in the Champion Schools tournament with the team on Friday, he said: “This year we’ve won the Calderdale Cup and the Yorkshire Cup so it would be great to add to our national cup list.
“My brother Josh has won the Schools National Cup with Brooksbank three times so there’s a bit of rivalry between us at home.”
Oliver Lewis from Brooksbank School, also aged 14 will be travelling down to London to take part in the finals, he said: “I’m really looking forward to the tournament and for my family to watch me run round Wembley stadium before the big game.
