Marshalls Unveils Its New Street Furniture Stonelements Collection By Terence Woodgate

Created by award winning designer Terence Woodgate, and produced by Marshalls Street Furniture, Stonelements is a new cutting edge range of contemporary urban furniture made from high quality natural granite.

Comprising a choice of stunning pieces the collection was inspired by the welcoming guidance and smoothness of Cairn stone heaps, plus the raw, sustained, powerful structural aesthetics of Stonehenge.

Offering the architect a myriad of tailor made solutions each stool, bench or seat is custom made to create original pieces of street furniture. The range can be commissioned in a spectrum of colours from jet black to rose pink and further complemented by a selection of bespoke finishes including polished and fine picked.

All of the Stonelements Collection is designed with effortless smooth clean lines and harmonised with soft rounded edges. Like its inspiration, the Cairn, the designs celebrate the precariously exposed, simplistic relationship of the junction between the materials. This is then counteracted by strong structural design principles and the mass, solidity and resilience that natural granite commands.

All the Stonelements collection, along with the other Marshalls granite materials, is ethically sourced from the company’s principal Chinese supplier who complies to the ETI (Ethical Trading Initiative) Base Code and the Principles of Implementation.

The Code sets out the minimum labour standards, which as a Corporate Member; Marshalls take responsibility for in their supply chains. The Base Code covers the following:
