Our Achievements

  • Sustainability remains at the heart of everything Marshalls does. As the first company in its sector to belong to the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI), Marshalls is committed to the implementation of the ETI Base Code, pioneering the ethical sourcing of natural stone paving from India and China.

  • Marshalls has been voted a Business Superbrand every years since 2010. Superbrands is an annual initiative to identify and celebrate Britain’s strongest consumer and business-to-business brands.

  • Marshalls has remained a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) since its acceptance in 2009, a framework for businesses that are committed to aligning their operations and strategies with the 10 universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption.

  • The Carbon Trust has reaccredited Marshalls three times. Since 2009, Marshalls has reduced its relative carbon footprint by almost 16 per cent and has made a commitment to reduce its carbon emissions by 3.1 per cent per year until 2020.

  • During 2013, Marshalls adopted the Children’s Rights and Business Principles developed by UNICEF, the UK Global Compact and Save the Children.

  • In 2013 Marshalls also announced a three year partnership with UNICEF UK. This partnership aims to tackle child labour in the quarrying sector in Rajasthan in India and to further child rights in China and Vietnam.

  • Marshalls remains a constituent member of the FTSE4Good UK Index, as well as an active member of the Business in the Community (BITC) which works with businesses to drive change in our communities.
