Our new space in London’s creative Clerkenwell area was unveiled last week, and within its walls we aim to promote and preserve great design, great concepts and great working relationships with the country’s design professionals.

As London and the South East have the UK’s largest concentration of architects, we thought it only fitting to open the Marshalls Design Space in London to provide the region with an informal setting for making connections and helping to fire up creativity.

In opening up our doors we’re inviting architects, designers, clients and partners to join us for CPD training sessions, design consultations, seminars, informal chats and to use the space for hot-desking. Meeting rooms will open up when not in use – increasing the creative space – and there will be an array of samples and swatches available, as well as areas to create mood boards and develop inspirational ideas.

The aim of our Design Space is to get connected with the architectural and design community to find out how we can contribute to a stronger project by offering:

  • Open Space: room for our clients to create big ideas. A bookable space for creatives to interact and socialise.
  • Space to Think: a personal space for some much-needed alone time to develop a project.
  • Space to Explore and Experiment: where imagination comes alive with a range of material samples for you to explore in your design ideas.

More than just a showroom

While it’s true that we’ll have plenty of products on hand to inspire our guests, we will do more with this space than simply sell. We want a showroom that’s just as stocked with ideas and concepts as it is with supplies. This can be achieved through engagement with the local design community.

Speaking of engagement, we feel that our new Design Space can also act as a catalyst for an open dialogue about design. There’s nothing we’d love more than to be a part of a game-changing project from the very beginning.

Now that we’ve established our exciting new premises, we hope you’ll call in for a catch-up and a coffee.
