Project Brief
Birse Rail had limited space in which to build a stairwell to the track side and encompass a retaining wall that would protect against the eroding embankment.
Marshalls Civils and Drainage Solution
By using Marshalls Civils and Drainage's Redi-Rock modular walling, Birse Rail were able to achieve the height needed to establish the stairwell to gain access to the rail track without comprising on the strength required to retain the embankment. The one tonne Redi-Rock block interlocks with the next and is dry laid, which suits any rail project as it results in extremely fast installation times and cost savings.
