Project Brief

A foundation and ground beam system was required upon which an innovative and highly efficient wooden cluster of buildings was going to be directly built upon.

 

Marshalls Civils and Drainage Solution

The sub surface support for the ground beams was formed from precast concrete manhole rings and solid (i.e. no access hole) heavily reinforced manhole cover slabs plus ground beams. The detailing of the ground beams and tolerances required where quite detailed and required close liaison with the designers and careful scheduling and working during manufacture.
