Moving on from an ‘Introduction to Permeable Paving', this seminar gives the designer more detailed information on how to design and detail a permeable pavement. Content focuses on all key design considerations such as rainfall events, storm patterns, traffic loading and ground conditions. Examples are given showing how to design a permeable pavement to cope with each of these factors from a structural and hydraulic perspective. Linking in with the SUDS philosophy, the seminar looks at how permeable pavements can improve water quality and the wider social benefits this brings. Also included are details on installation, machine lay and maintenance. Case study examples are given to show practicality and costings.
