Charities have been hugely impacted throughout the pandemic, and at Marshalls we have done all we can to help our charity partners Macmillan and Mind during this period.

At the end of 2020 we were able to donate £100k to Macmillan and £20k to Mind, and we have recently donated a further £37,500 to each. The latest money comes from unclaimed dividends that have been held for more than twelve years. While we’ve given shareholders the required amount of time to claim them, we’re now able to choose what happens to the funds.

The work these charities do has been more important than ever in recent months, we’ve made these donations in recognition of the ongoing tough times that our charity partners have had throughout the pandemic, and as thanks for the support they've provided to the public and to some of our colleagues.

Martyn Coffey, Marshalls CEO said:
“Charities have found the past 12 months extremely challenging. We value the work that Macmillan and Mind provide to the public, and we know from our employees that they have had personal support from these two charities. We want to recognise their work and say thank you to Macmillan and Mind by making further donations to both.”
