Marshalls' Chris Harrop Recognised In Top 5 Ethical Influencers

With ethics high on the corporate agenda Chris Harrop, Group Marketing Director, Marshalls plc, was today named the fifth most recognised individual to have ‘pushed forward the case for responsible business in 2007’ by Ethical Corporation magazine.

In the presence of such luminaries as Stuart Rose, Chief Executive, Marks & Spencer, who topped the list; Lee Scott, Chief Executive, Walmart (2nd) and Patrick Cescau, Chief Executive of Unilever (3rd), Chris was acknowledged for ‘the energetic campaigning he has done to reduce child labour in quarrying of Indian sandstone’.

The magazine also went on to comment: ‘Harrop has taken an admirably robust approach to eliminating this risk from Marshalls’ supply chain’.

With corporate ‘Greenwash’ hitting the headlines this is a highly recognised third-party accreditation of the work that Chris is undertaking on behalf of Marshalls.
