Marshalls Street Furniture Launches Its New Ferrocast Range

Leading design, sourcing and manufacturer of furniture for the public environment, Marshalls Street Furniture, has launched its new Ferrocast Street Furniture range.

Leading design, sourcing and manufacturer of furniture for the public environment, Marshalls Street Furniture, has launched its new Ferrocast Street Furniture range. This exclusive collection comprises both traditional and contemporary styled pieces that have been created to complement any location.

Included in the range are bollards, post and rail systems, signage, cycle stands, tree grilles and lamp columns all manufactured from the versatile and bespoke engineering grade polymer called Ferrocast. This innovate material has proven to have the ideal properties for exterior furniture as it does not rust or corrode, will not chip, and requires virtually no or little maintenance throughout its whole life-cycle.

In the range, for those looking towards the ultra-modern, Ferrocast’s Waterside collection is the ideal solution. Waterside has been purposefully designed around a unique elliptical form that has resulted in highly contemporary and functional pieces of street furniture, giving the designer a real cutting-edge alternative when developing their scheme.

For schemes that require a traditional approach, the range not only has replicate Victorian favourites, created to exactly look like their cast iron counter parts, but it also includes other period classical creations made to the same exacting detail.

However, if something totally different is required, Marshalls Street Furniture’s flexible manufacturing capabilities and the versatility of Ferrocast means it is possible to commission bespoke pieces on larger projects with a minimal capital investment.

Ferrocast polymer was first developed for use in mining, quarrying and the North Sea oil industries on such applications as sub-sea pipelining, ship deck and hull coatings. It has even gone in to space on exploratory missions. These harsh environments were the perfect testing ground to prove it would be the ideal material for manufacturing street furniture and withstand the rigours of today’s urban environment.

The new range is manufactured solely at Marshalls Street Furniture’s site in the North East of England.

Marshalls is constantly investing in new technologies to develop product innovations that break new ground and set the standard for the industry.
