Griffin Wind Farm, Dunkeld, PH8 0EB
L Shape Retaining Walls
A retaining wall was required to give access for a road and railway bridge to allow access for the wind farm. Once complete the Griffin Wind farm will have the capacity of 156mw and have 68 wind turbines on site, adding to the 2000mw of renewable generation capacity already operated by SSE and will contribute to their targets of owning and operating 4,000mw of renewable energy capacity in the UK and Ireland by the end of 2013 and reducing the carbon impact of their electricity generation by 50% by 2020 (from 2005/6 levels).
