Stormwater Treatment

Removing pollutants from stormwater runoff is crucial for water quality, and Marshalls, in conjunction with Hydro International, has developed precast biofiltration solutions to combat sediment, oils, rubbish, debris, and metals.

Removing pollutants from stormwater runoff is an important component of any stormwater management solution. Stormwater pollution such as sediment, oils, rubbish, debris and metals is one of the leading causes of loss in water quality.

Stormwater biofiltration combats these pollutants and Marshalls , in conjunction with Hydro International, have developed the following precast solutions:

  • Downstream Defenders: downstream defender installation helps in the removal of sediment, oil and floatables from stormwater control, using an advanced vortex separator
  • First DefenseĀ®: this is an effective catch basin and stormwater separator
  • Up-Flo Filters: stormwater filters which target a large range of pollutants
  • Biofilter: the biofiltration system harnesses the natural treatment action of vegetation and the filtration power of specially engineered soils
