Bournemouth Arts University
Pluto Cycle Shelter
Problem
The client, Bournemouth Arts University was seeking a solution to provide contemporary storage for a large number of cycles outside the new student accommodation building. As space was limited, the product had to be an open unit with the option of extension. Due to the modern appeal of the new building, the required cycle solution had to mirror this whilst providing a functional storage facility.
Solution
Working together with key contractor Morgan Sindall, Marshalls were able to provide a solution for the University to satisfy the initial specification. Due to the space restrictions and need for an open unit, the Pluto Steel Shelter was chosen. The client opted for a galvanised steel finish with PETg roofing for a stylish yet cost effective solution.
Benefits
The Pluto Shelter supplied and installed at Bournemouth Arts University offers a functional storage facility for up to 70 cycles whilst also enhancing the aesthetics of the area.
As part of the same project, Marshalls were also able to supply seating, litter bins and lighting from the fully coordinated Coda range to be installed on the Main Bournemouth University site.
