Marshalls Civils & Drainage has introduced a purpose-built manhole safety cover slab to address the safety risks of exposed manhole shafts both during and after construction. The galvanised mild steel grille has been designed to fit all standard cover slab access holes, and supports pedestrian loads up to 500kg. Available across multiple sized apperatures, the safety cover slab is delivered with the safety grille already fitted and secured through a locking mechanism. After installation of seating rings and manhole metal work the grille can still be accessed to allow for maintenance and inspections.
- Supplied installed into the cover slab to improve both onsite safety during manhole installation and post construction during use.
- Available to fit 600x600, 675x675 and 1200x675 cover slab apperatures the galvanised mild steel safety grille provides protection from manhole apperatures.
- Supporting up to 500kg, the grille is locked in place, but can be opened for maintenance and inspections.
