Frogged Facing Bricks

Differing from perforated, frogged facing bricks feature an indentation on one side, this chamfered hollow in frogged facing bricks is intended to be filled with mortar when laid.

The frog must be filled with mortar and laid facing upwards in order to maintain the integrity of the build. Correctly laid frog bricks provide better sound insulation, improved loadbearing and greater strength and stability. Although it is sometimes seen as quicker and to lay bricks frog down, this creates air paths that affect the performance of the brickwork.
