The Southport Community Fire & Ambulance Station is the last of a new generation of PFI-funded fire stations across the North West. A purpose-built joint fire and ambulance station, each service has its own offices and appliance bays plus shared areas. The street level elevations are faced in a mellow shade of bespoke cast stone masonry laid in elegant courses and providing a striking contrast to the bright red metal cladding feature and brickwork of the upper storey.
