In an effort to rejuvenate St George's Street, Canterbury City Council invested £1 million last year to transform this key urban area into an inviting high street. The goal was to create a vibrant space that would be attractive for residents and visitors alike, serving as a hub for events and activities throughout the year.
Implementation
The implementation of the project involved the use of several products from Marshalls, a leading supplier of hard landscaping products. The materials chosen were specifically selected for their durability and aesthetic appeal, ensuring that the revamped street would be both functional and attractive. The key products used in the project included a variety of plan sizes and colours from Marshalls' Modal X range. Inspired by high-quality natural granite, the refreshed Modal X range is produced in the UK on Marshalls' state-of-the-art dual block plant and offers a lower carbon alternative to granite, along with cost-effective and flexible installation.

Marshalls Modal X also utilises Maximix technology to lock in colour and lock out the elements. Marshalls high-quality blend of pigments, aggregates, and binders produce a strengthened bonded surface layer that provides durability throughout the years to come.
Maximix provides greater resistance to UV fading and weather damage to ensure the aesthetic of the product is maintained.
