As well as aggregates, we source our crushed stone rock and gravel, grit sand, block stone and building sand from our local British quarries.

What types of aggregates do Marshalls sell?

Marshalls sells aggregates in various sizes, from 3-6mm aggregate for paving and block paving applications up to 75-150mm aggregates for aesthetic purposes and gabion cages. 

We also sell the following aggregates and sub-bases:

• DOT Type 1 - available as a sub-base for non-adoptable purposes 
• 6F5 - primarily used as a capping material to sub-grades, providing greater strength to lower-level Type 1 sub-bases
• MOT Type 1 - used to ensure minimal voids in sub-layers when compacted, making it suitable for creating access roads and pathways
• MOT Type 3 - conforms to SHW Clause 805 and allows water to free drain as a permeable sub-base
