Donna Garside is a highly experienced technical and customer service leader with more than 27 years at Marshalls and over 30 years in the manufacturing industry. Beginning her career in customer-facing roles across sales, finance, and customer service, Donna has built a reputation for delivering practical solutions, trusted advice, and exceptional customer support throughout the construction and landscaping sectors.

As Head of Group Technical Services, Donna leads an 11-strong specialist technical team that supports both internal stakeholders and external customers across domestic and commercial markets. Her team provides expert guidance on product selection, build-ups, installation methods, and tailored project solutions, helping customers navigate complex technical challenges with confidence.

Donna is particularly passionate about improving the end-user experience. Under her leadership, the technical services team has evolved from a traditional advisory function into a proactive consultancy-style support service, offering detailed technical guidance, site support, and problem-solving expertise. She has played a key role in strengthening Marshalls’ customer approach by ensuring teams can advise not only on products, but on complete application and installation solutions.

Her expertise extends across full site investigations, complaint handling (it’s unrealistic to think Marshalls never gets a complaint), drainage and level assessments, and product performance analysis. Donna and her team regularly carry out on-site surveys and produce comprehensive technical reports that help customers resolve issues quickly and effectively while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Known for her hands-on leadership style and deep industry knowledge, Donna has also been instrumental in developing technical guidance materials and installer support resources designed to improve confidence and understanding across the sector. Her ability to combine technical expertise with practical, customer-focused advice has earned the trust of colleagues, contractors, consultants, and end users alike.
