Made-in-Britain

For over a century, we’ve been manufacturing high quality products in Britain. As a proud British business, it’s important to us that we support local manufacturing, and invest in the development of our workforce, working practices and cutting-edge technology.

We champion British manufacturing by investing in our UK based plants and people, and by being members of Made in Britain. This is a non-profit organisation that brings together the British manufacturing community and is a celebration of the diverse range of goods and services created here in the UK.

When it comes to our investments, we were recently the first in our industry to launch a dual block plant at our St Ives site in Cambridgeshire. This innovative technology provides double the output of a single plant, bringing increased efficiency whilst allowing us to adapt to market demands.

Our British-made products

With manufacturing plants, quarries and distribution sites strategically positioned throughout the UK, we can get to our customers conveniently, whilst keeping carbon emissions to a minimum. Our commitment to accessibility means we can get your products to you quickly and efficiently, and we’re able to put your needs at the forefront.

Based on tonnage, 96.9% of our landscaping, building and roofing products are British-made, contributing to a lower carbon footprint compared to imported alternatives.

We can also say that:

  • 100% of our mortars and screeds are British-made
  • 100% of our bricks and masonry are British-made
  • 100% of our aggregates are British-made
  • 100% of our bollards are British-made
  • 99.9% of our civils and drainage is British-made

Our British projects

We’ve paved every location on the Monopoly Board, and you’ll find our materials and products at some of the UK’s most iconic landmarks – this is something we’re extremely proud of.

To name a few…

Wembley Park

In 2017, we were appointed as a key supplier by Quintain and played a key role in the approved Masterplan for the revitalisation of Wembley Park. This included new outdoor spaces to enhance the public realm. You can find out more about this project in our case study here.

The Olympics

We were appointed as a key supplier for the 2012 Olympics. This involved supplying hard landscaping products for the Athletes Village which included retaining walls, seating, paving, and drainage.

Shakespeare's birthplace

We’ve installed our protective security bollards outside Shakespeare’s birthplace, which is a restored 16th-century half-timbered house located in Stratford-upon-Avon. You can read more in our case study here.
