More than that, it’s a promise that a company can be trusted to look after its customers’ best interests – as well as those of society as a whole. Almost two thirds (63%) of people believe that the Government and local councils should consider a company’s ethics and how they pay their tax as well as value for money when making purchasing decisions.

Martyn Coffey, Marshalls Chief Executive said; "I’m proud that Marshalls has been awarded the Fair Tax Mark for the 9th consecutive year. It’s a mark that demonstrates that we pay the right amount of corporation tax at the right time and in the right place

Receiving the Fair Tax Mark is a testimony to our commitment to transparency and ethical business practices and creates an opportunity for us and other businesses to demonstrate a responsible approach to tax planning and celebrate the difference corporation tax makes to our society.”

Graham Drummond, Head of Communications, Fair Tax Foundation, said:
“Marshalls has been a great advocate for the Fair Tax Mark ever since they first secured it nine years ago. They have consistently shown that they say what they pay with pride and continue to reassure their stakeholders that they are committed to responsible tax conduct and financial transparency.

Marshalls is part of our Fair Tax Mark accredited global business community, who between them employ over 250,000 people and contribute more than £1bn in corporation tax annually.”

Paying fair tax is just one of the ways that we look to act as responsibly as we can. You can find out more about our work in this area, as well as our other ethical and sustainability work on our website.
