As a business, we’ve worked with our customers to create better spaces for over 130 years. And now we’re working on an important project which will help to make those spaces safer too.
Over the past few months we have held a public survey, which aimed to find out how safe people feel in public spaces, and what steps they take to make themselves safer. We’re using the results of this study, and conversations with industry professionals, to create a paper that will explore common themes around creating safer spaces, from wayfinding to accessibility, acoustics to lighting. Working with the Landscape Institute, the paper will be published as a guide for architects and landscape designers, to inspire future public space design.
The survey is now closed, but those interested in finding out more about the Creating Safer Spaces paper can register for an early copy.
