Marshalls has been named in the Builders Merchants Federation (BMF) Top 100, a prestigious list recognising companies at the forefront of the building materials industry.
Compiled in partnership with Builders’ Merchants News (BMN), Top 100 celebrates companies that have been operating for at least 50 years. 2026 marks the first year the list has focused on companies rather than individuals, comprising 50 builders’ merchants and 50 suppliers, manufacturers and service providers. The recognition coincides with the 50th anniversary of BMN, highlighting the longevity and impact of these companies in shaping the UK construction supply chain.
With more than 130 years of heritage, we’re proud to be included among companies that have consistently driven innovation, supported trade partners, and delivered quality across the sector.
Nick Platt, Group Managing Director at Marshalls said,
“Our greatest asset, and our real point of difference, is our people. Their expertise, experience and energy are what enable us to deliver consistently for our customers and lead in our core categories.
We’re proud of our 130-year heritage, but we’re equally proud of the fresh thinking and energy across our teams that keeps Marshalls evolving and relevant in a changing market.
In today’s environment, creating value for our customers matters more than ever. Our role is to be an enabling partner to the trade, offering leading products, operating with excellence and working closely with merchants, buying groups and installers to help them succeed.
Being recognised in the BMF Top 100 reflects the commitment of our people and our continued focus on supporting the industry for the long term.”
The recognition reinforces our dedication to building strong, collaborative relationships with merchants, installers, and industry partners, ensuring they have the products, support, and expertise needed to succeed.
Looking ahead, Marshalls will continue to invest in UK manufacturing, develop new products, and deliver lower-carbon solutions, supporting the building materials industry in meeting today’s challenges and preparing for the future.
