Last week, we were pleased to welcome Morgan Sindall Construction and the Skills Construction Centre to our Ramsbottom site as part of the North West Responsible Business Charter pilot, launched in October 2025.
The pilot brings together partners across the North West who want to make a meaningful difference in the communities where they work. As one of Morgan Sindall’s key suppliers, we are proud to contribute to this activity and support its ambition to create opportunities, build capability and strengthen long term outcomes for local people.
During the visit, tutors and learners were given an insight into our quarrying and manufacturing operations, including automation in production, sustainable water management initiatives, and safety and well-being measures embedded across the site.
Helping to close the skills gap is a vital part of our industry’s future. Our commitment to developing skills, supporting communities and creating pathways into construction is outlined in our Built for the Future sustainability approach and our ongoing work to support skills development.
We are pleased to play an active role in supporting the next generation of construction talent and helping to build a more resilient, skilled and diverse workforce.
Thank you to Morgan Sindall Construction and the Skills Construction Centre teams for joining us, and our colleagues at Ramsbottom for hosting another valuable visit.
