Made to Last

Marshalls has been in business for over 130 years – we’re made to last. Our approach to business is based on solid foundations. We are committed to making our environmental, social and governance data transparent so that our customers can trust the Marshalls brand, our investors can quantify our sustainability credentials and our people can be proud of where they work.

Staying connected to our values as a business is important to us. At Marshalls, we’ve worked hard to build a culture of trust – that’s why we say no to bribery and corruption. Our Code of Conduct is comprehensive and covers different areas of our business that demonstrate our commitment to creating better spaces for everyone, including the way we do business and our stance on anti-corruption.
No Bribery
Yes to Fair Tax
We’re proud to say we pay our fair share of tax. We say yes to Fair Tax. The Fair Tax Mark sets standards in responsible tax practice, and holding it indicates that we’re open and transparent about our tax affairs and seek to pay the right amount of corporation tax at the right time.

Environment

The way we make and get our products to our customers is an area of focus for us. We have a great track record in trying to minimise our impact on the environment and this extends to our product mixes and packaging.

It’s true to say we use plastic packaging when storing and transporting our products. However, it’s also true that we have a responsibility to reduce the use of non-essential plastic for ourselves and for our customers. Our various initiatives have led to a 35% reduction in packaging, because we say no to plastic. We have several projects in the pipeline which will enable us to reach an 85% reduction.

No to Plastic
Yes to recycling
All our concrete and natural stone products are 100% recyclable. But we say yes to recycling, so it doesn’t stop there. We manage our waste responsibly and we repatriate our timber pallets. We recycle and harvest water, and use recycled materials in our manufacturing processes. More recently we’ve been working on projects to replace cement content in some of our products.
