Ahead of the Data to Disrupt Trafficking Awards on 27 October, we’re pleased to have been awarded a commendation for ‘Disruption of Supply’. This is for our efforts in disrupting human trafficking and exploitation within the construction industry. It’s also in recognition of the expertise and support we provided Traffik Analysis Hub, a global data platform, in the development of a unique supply chain risk mapping tool which is now being embraced across multiple sectors and countries.

Marshalls’ ESG & Human Rights Director, Elaine Mitchel-Hill, said, “We absolutely have to embrace technology to help the world put a stop to the trafficking and enslaving men, women and children.  It is a heinous and disgusting crime.  I never imagined that the scale of the problem would be so enormous in 2022. Being able to undertake enhanced supply chain mapping, so that we understand the context in which our supply chains sit, is invaluable. It allows us to respond precisely and swiftly to reduce our own risks. It also means that we can be focused in our work in our sourcing countries to raise and uphold international standards.

This commendation recognises the commitment of everyone at Marshalls to end modern slavery; for the work we continue to do, to help create better net positive futures for everyone.”
