Unveiling of new memorial using Marshalls natural stone

A new memorial has been unveiled in Halifax today, featuring locally sourced natural stone from our Howley Park Quarry.

Created to commemorate 304 years of service by the Duke of Wellington Regiment, the statue reaches an impressive 18 feet high and has been designed by sculptor Andrew Sinclair. The bronze memorial sits on a natural stone plinth, created and donated by Marshalls. The regiment crest has been engraved and painted into the stone, similar to the artwork created for the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire.
