Making tracks in the rail industry

Marshalls proudly sponsored the Environmental and Sustainability category for the second year running at the UK Rail Industry Awards, (UKRIA) held at the Battersea Evolution in London.

David McClelland, Marshalls’ National Infrastructure Manager presented the award to the category winner, Interfleet.

Interfleet’s Energyx software is a revolutionary cloud-based system that receives energy data from meters fitted to electric trains, allowing companies to manage and analyse energy usage through a wealth of analysis and reporting options.

The UK Rail Industry Awards, (UKRIA) recognises the hard work and achievement of organisations, teams and individuals working tirelessly to deliver an efficient and robust rail network for the future.

Marshalls is perfectly placed to collaborate on rail projects and has been involved in large rail schemes, most recently working closely with Network Rail to provide the paving and drainage to London Bridge Station.

Roy Rowlands, UKRIA Business Development Director, said: “I’m so delighted Marshalls have once again chosen to sponsor the ‘Environmental & Sustainability’ category of the UK Rail Industry Awards. When managing projects, developing new products and creating better spaces, the environment and sustainability should be at the very core of what we do.”

Marshalls’ is attending Railtex exhibition at the NEC, Birmingham from 12th-14th May to showcase its wide range of products ideally suited to the design and construction of rail infrastructure, from platform copings and flooring, to drainage solutions and protective street furniture.
