The UK's aging sewage and water infrastructure is facing huge environmental challenges as droughts and heavy rainfall become ever more common. 

This problem is only intensified by the lack of meaningful regulatory guidance that specifiers often apply arbitrarily for projects that created to last 10, 20 or even 100 years, inevitably causing problems in the future.

The construction industry needs to change its approach to surface water drainage and lead to the charge to focus on efficiency, sustainability and whole life cost. Doing so will create a smarter, simpler and sustainable future of water management.
